The Denmark Veseys is a Portland, Oregon based duo consisting of acclaimed singer/songwriter Jerry Joseph (Little Women, The Jackmormons, Stockholm Syndrome) and drummer/percussionist Steve Drizos (Dexter Grove). A slight departure from Joseph’s past projects, The Denmark Veseys’ self-titled debut introduces a new pop sensibility while still retaining the raw energy that has defined his career. The album, recorded at Chase Park Transduction Studios in Athens, GA and produced by Dave Barbe (Drive-By Truckers, REM, Son Volt), was created in a live performance atmosphere. The Denmark Veseys completed the record in just six days, capturing a true representation of the band’s sound. A sound that lies somewhere between Sly & The Family Stone’s “Family Affair” and Peter Gabriel's “I Can’t Remember” with a big tip of the hat to the late, great Chris Whitley.

The Denmark Veseys will hit the streets on February 19th, 2008.
